Professor Emeritus, Toho University
Hidetsugu Katsuragawa is currently a professor emeritus at Toho University and visiting researcher at the Waseda Institute of Medical Anthropology on Disaster Reconstruction. He received a PhD from the University of Tokyo in 1988. His research interest at Toho University Era was lasers-atomic nucleus physics. After retirement age, he was visiting professor at Toho University from 2007 to 2012. Since the Fukushima nuclear accident, he started volunteer work (Fukushima Support Project) with a group of scientists and engineers in May 2013. NHK featured TV programs that introduced activities of the Fukushima Support Project team several times.
